    This is the wedding quilt I made for my granddaughter. It is 10 shades of teal. I used a combination of fabrics from different companies to get the desired effect. It took over an hour in the fabric store lining up and auditioning fabrics to get the right combination.[ATTACH=CONFIG]583615[/ATTACH]

    Sorry the picture is sideways. I couldn't figure out hw to rotate it.

    I think the monochromatic quilts would be really pretty. And if it's not too busy - a great place to do some fabulous quilting.

    I think it would be a great quilt to experiment with dying your own fabric. You could do as many shades as you like of the same color. Do all one dying technique or do a different technique in each shade, such as ice dying, tie dye, solid, and so forth.

    Sam Hunter just released several ombré quilt patterns. They are fabulous. Do a search for them.
