    Thanks for all of your help. I will try them and see what I can do. I don't know what I would do without the board and all of you wonderful quilters (can't say just ladies).

    i used it recently in my longarm and will never do it again. it's just not worth the hassle.

    I am so thankful for all the help that you all gave me. THEY WORKED! I am so excited. (Yes I know it doesn't take much to excite me). I loosened the tension and put the spool in a cup and applied the safety pin to the machine. There are no more loops and skipped stitches and the thread doesn't break anymore! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

    I have heard that they are not really good to use in quilts you will be using. It's best to use monofilament in wall hangings.

    Don't feel bad. I have two quilts here I used them in. Didn't know. That's OK my DDs love them.
