Since you pointed it out I can see what you mean, but it's not what I see unless I look for it.
When the quilt is in use you won't be looking at the whole thing like that - the sides will be hanging over the sides of the bed, or it will be on top of someone on the couch or folded on a chair. I'm guessing that you won't see it once it's off your design wall.

Oh, yes, now that you mention it. But I see the corners of his mouth turning up, too. I think the others are correct that, once it's on the bed, you won't necessarily see that. Maybe it's kinda like most days--a bit of frown and a bit of smile?? Love your quilt though.

You are all so sweet to help me see the bright side of my alien/monster. I have pretty much decided on my borders and I will turn it 90 degrees when I use it. Both decisions have calmed my initial reaction. Thanks for all of your thoughts. I was a bit creeped out to have spent so much time on this and then had a "face" that surprised me.
