    If you are using office 2007 you need to go to insert and then select the symbols and there are a ton of them there! The alt key does not work!

    The best way to find all these "symbols" is to go to your start menu, all programs, accessories, go to system tools, then open Character maps. All the system's character maps are there!

    Honestly, you can sit and play around and find all kinds of things to do with the keys.
    Remember to push Alt and hold while pressing the numbers.

    171-½
    172-¼
    123-{
    125-}
    13 -♪
    3 -♥

    Hope you enjoy these, too. Isn't it nice to learn something new every day. That is what I learn on this board everyday.

    My pleasure, that is one of the easiest way, the alt plus a number works very well as well. I just like to keep it simple!
