    Some good suggestions. If you don't use the products recommended, maybe get a heavy plastic bag, smother the fabric in baking soda and liberally fill the bag with the rest of the box, seal and leave for a few weeks. Then re-wash and line dry. Usually washing removes it for me (I buy a lot of vintage clothes and fabric).

    They make me sick, too. My MIL used them everywhere and she died 14 years ago and we can still smell mothballs in anything she had. Ug! She felt that they made things smell clean and she loved clean things. Miss her when I remember many good times with her. Used to work with a lady that all her tupperware was stored with mothballs and when she brought food to share, it tasted like mothballs!! No kidding! We tryed to tell her they are poison, but to no avail.
