Default Mother's Day came early for me...

DH bought me a Viking Tribute!!! Had to bring it home and start sewing on it right away. I am now anxious to finish my quilt top so I can actually quilt on it and enjoy the larger throat (I currently have about a 6 inch on my little Brother). Of course, there is a bit of guilt on my end because that $ could have been used on more sensible things and I've never spent that much $ on myself or had anyone spend that much on me before. Love the machine! Now if only I can get over the guilt....

What guilt? It is a lovely gift. I am sure you deserve it. If you had kids with him, you MORE than deserve it. Make something beautiful to celebrate YOU.

Thanks Ladies! You're already helping the guilt to go away Luvstoquilt; I actually did not have children with him. He is my 2nd husband, and together we have custody of 6 children (my 1 daughter and my 5 stepchildren); although now we are down to 5 because 1 turned 18 last year and moved out in late Nov. Thank you again Luvstoquilt and Pandamommy for making me feel better.

Don't feel bad, you deserve it. Just think of all the beautiful things you will be making with it. Have fun and enjoy her.

No reason to feel guilty. Your husband bought you a lovely gift and would want you to enjoy it.

Congratulations! Now toss that guilt right out of your mind. Learn to expect nice things for yourself just as your family members expect it for themselves.

Let's be honest...money can always be spent somewhere else SO...why not on you. It is well deserved so enjoy. Can't wait to see some of your creations from your new machine.

Happy Mother's Day. You deserve it. While our family is growing up we do without and I'm not trying to sound like a martyr but sometimes that is how life is. Now you enjoy your gift and no guilt.
