OMG I am soooo jealous. I owned a couple bikes when I was younger and bought a honda shadow about 6 or 7 years ago and didn't have anyone to ride with so I sold it - I really wish I had kept it. I might just have to save my pennies for another one.

I've never driven a motorcycle, however, I took many, many rides on one driven by my now ex-husband...biggest feeling of absolute freedom I've ever felt in my entire life...total bliss...even in the heat of NJ's summers, with a full helmet, long jeans, etc. I missed that bike so much more than the ex-husband...(smile)   Naomi

Nothing wrong with enjoying the ride but I think she should be wearing some safety gear. God forbid she should ever take a spill!

At the hospital where I used to work, we called helmet-less riders organ donors! It's not a law here in Arkansas either but I think it should be.

when I moved to OK back on 2005 I was shocked to learn that it was illegal to get a tattoo or piercing, but you could do 80 down the highway on your MC with NO helmet...let alone safety gear...so around here you see them in shorts, flip flops and NO helmet doing 80 down the highway...

apparently NONE of them have seen what happens even in a small accident! I have seen it more than once, and every time I see a rider with no helmet I have to look away because all I can see is the the last rider I saw in an accident that had no helmet on..it was not pretty and can never be UNseen.....

I wish OK and all states would make safety gear and helmets the law...

ps, we have a law in OK that requires you to wear a helmet on your bicycle though!...I mean really...

Speaking as a nurse who used to work on an orthopedic floor, working with what we called "A Super Crunch", helmets should NOT be an option.

Love the apron! I think it's great that she takes her bike to class.

I am dead scare of motorbikes, and I think she is very brave doing it without a helmet......in my country you are not aloud to drive without it and still I think it is dangerous.

Love the sewing machine on the 'bike'. I have brothers that ride and neither of them would dream of carrying a sewing machine on their 'bikes'. One wears a full helmet and one wears a skull cap--always.
