    Default mountain quilt pattern

I am looking to buy a quilt pattern with a mountain scene, but I want to use my own fabric rather than fabric with prints of trees, etc. All the ones I've found are either wall hangings, or ones that you must use their fabric choices. Anyone have any suggestions where I could look?

You *don't* want a wall hanging, you want a bed-sized quilt?

I really like the ones by Violet Craft:

Could you take a pattern you like and enlarge it?

How neat, Peckish! I recognized those mountains before I looked it up! Great patterns, too!

Aren't they awesome? I thought I'd seen a Mt. Rainier pattern somewhere, but apparently it's not Violet's pattern, or at least she isn't offering it on her website at the moment.

If you want to use your own fabrics, maybe you could also use a photo of your own for inspiration and make a landscape quilt? There are quite a few tutorials around that might help you, if you are wanting appliqué.

not sure if I would be confident enough to enlarge one, as I have seen it stated that you can't do that very accurately on many patterns.

which tutorials are these? I might be able to use a picture from a book, as we have no mountains near me.

Those are beautiful! Either would look great in my little cabin. Another project in the making.

    Thanks!

Try googling "landscape quilts with Nancy Zieman " There are still videos from her shows available to watch.
