Recently I found out about using a battery operated moustache trimmer for seam ripping. Was skeptical but since it cost only $12, thought I would give it a try. Was I ever surprised - just cuts the thread not the fabric. I can unsew so much faster.

Got mine at Walmart - WAHL brand. Have given one to my sisters and my quilting friend. All of them simply are amazed and love it - almost makes you want to make a mistake so you can rip!!!!!!

Think I will have to get one too. The more I sew, the more I rip!

They are awesome!!! I bought one at a quilt show in Tucson. I paid 22 dollars for it. I bought a nicer one at Walgreens this week and it was 9.99. We had a gift exchange for our quilt group on Tue. I think when she opened it she about had a heart attack. I guess she thought that maybe she had a mustache. I wrote a lttle note in it and said. Now don't get excited and don't get milsed, this isn't for a mustache, but to unsew instead. Everyone thought it was a great gift.
