Thanks to all the encouragement, me and my broken toe went to Machine Quilter's Showcase in Overland Park, Kansas yesterday. Wow, did I see some beautiful quilts! I found the quilts to be "new" to me this year. In that I mean that the last few years when I went it seemed that I was looking at the same quilts from the year before, not that they were not beautiful quilts, but I had the feeling that I had seen them all before. This year was different. My favorite one was of a small boy in bed, bedroom completely decorated for Christmas, with building blocks on the carpet which spelled out "Find things that begin with every letter in the alphabet" Talk about detail!!!! I could of looked at that quilt for hours!
By the way, I did not come up the a wheelchair, forgot to take my cane and camera, but my friends and I looked, admired, laughed, solved all the problems in the world and made a few purchases. I am soooooo glad I went!
