Oh, yes. I love to make and receive them. I'm actually making one tomorrow for a prayer partner. Making it to match a coffee mug. I'm gonna roll it up and put it in the mug. I know my prayer partner will love and use it.

My question is, do you put something between the layers, so the liquid doesn't get through, or do you just make them like a teeny tiny quilt?

    Thanks for sharing,
This was also my question re making them so that liquid does not soak thru.
I have seen a few tutorials on other quilting blogs, and yes, you make them up essentially like a tiny little quilt.

I think that ideally you put insulbrite inside of them so that a hot drink does not transfer heat to the piece of furniture. It will also stop the transfer of moisture.

Mine are in my sewing room by my machine, in my bedroom by my bed and more waiting to be used. I love them and am making more. Great gifts too.

I received my 1st one from fairy quilter { it was a surprise gift from someone I have never even met} at first I wasn't sure what I was going to use it for as I have a nice warming coaster at my desk. I now keep it for sitting my warm iron on while it cools off or if I need to sit the iron somewhere besides the ironing board while ironing and now I think of the fairy quilter every time I use it.
