    JoAnn's has muslin by the bolt in different weights and thread counts...I do use muslin as my foundation of my crazy quilts, but the thread count isn't that important. After I finish my piece I back with a matching or contrasting fabric.

    In my opinion, Kona is the best muslin you can buy. If there is something better out there, I'd love to know.
