    I guess the main drive shaft went out of it. I haven't used it much, and it is going to cost me several hundred at least to get it fixed. My old singers are still going, all they need is a bit of oil and some love!. Was it smart to put more money in the 9500? I like the machine but not happy it hasn't held up for any length of time.

    I love my pfaff- if it was repairable- I would fix it..

    It is Janome 9500. I have had it 4-5 yrs. Doesn't have much time on it, since I use my other machines mostly.

    That is truley dissapointing to hear. I would think maybe this is a warrenty covered repair....
