DJ stands for the Dear Jane quilt. Do a search here or google; you've got to see it. Now, while we are on the subject, I goofed and had mine long arm quilted (pantograph). Question: can a long arm quilter put it back on the machine and custom quilt it, then I "rip" out the all over pattern? Suggestions? What would you do?

DJ=Dear Jane blocks
I guess the original poster is trying to do the DJ as a Quilt As You Go-QAYG-? I don't think the original directions instruct it to be done that way...I may be wrong - still working on blocks. I am doing it the "traditional"way-do blocks, then make quilt sandwich, then quilt and bind.

Yes I knew what I was asking for; I got over anxious to get it finished, and felt I couldn't afford custom quilting.

Well the blocks are all pieced, layered, quilted then joined with sashing (QAYG) so I figured to do the triangles the same way:

Here are the blocks:

Many people use this method for large (or small) quilts. Makes quilting either by hand or machine a lot easier. Some join a larger section of blocks in the "usual" way, then join the sections this way.
But they didn't fit.
