So there I was surfing craigslist and I see this ad for a Pfaff Quilt Expression 2044 for $375.00.
That has to be a typo I'm thinking, but I send it to myself anyway hoping to add it to my "wishlist. You know that list: the things that you'd love to have but can't justify shelling out the $$ what with all the fabric and other craft stuff you already have splitting outta the closet.
Anyway I innocently asked my DH if he had plans for my B-day and he said No.
Uh ok.... So I have an idea if your willing to listen. (he is a great guy and really would get me anything I NEED) but I have only been married to him for 6 months so I'm still a little nervous asking for big things. To me this is a BIG thing.
He asked what I had in mind so I showed him the ad for the Pfaff. He asked if that was a good deal and I showed him my thread on here asking the wise folks here if they thought it was a good deal. there were about 10 comments and they all pretty much said "what are ya nuts? GO GET IT!!!! So I called and the guy said it was first come first served so I rushed over there and I was FIRST!!!!!
It only came with the plug, foot pedal, one foot and the Pfaff table for quilting. No manual, no accessory case, no extra feet, no extra spool nothing. I calloed the guy and asked him if they happen to unpack these items if they might send them to me. I'd gladly pay for the shipping.
So I Downloaded a second hand manual today but I was wondering if anyone had an accessory case and or other parts that they no longer needed, possibly for sale for a 2044.
I would just rather try the board first as the folks here are friends and know the importance of good equipment. Plus if you had something you didn't want anymore why not sell it?
I went to the sewing machine shop today and felt like I was treated with a little distain. Kinda like they were looking down their noses at me because I got it on craigslist.
I didn't rip anyone off, didn't take advantage, they couldn't take it with them so they sold it to me.
Anyway here it is, if anyone has ideas for websites I would be grateful. Pfaff USA had feet but no info on this model so I'm starved for info on it.
PM me if you know of any of the parts I mentioned or info.
Thanks for reading this long winded thread.

Whenever someone acts that way toward you try to stay calm and smile. They are out to ruin your day because they didn't get a big commission of a sale. Then I would turn around and walk out never to return.
After all you are who keeps them in business... The Customer. Boy, how many times do they have to go out of business before they remember that?
I am so sorry that you were treated so poorly. And so near your birthday too. The big meanies.
Check on ebay. There are persons who sell the manuals for all types of machines and the feet too. Also sew and vac has some things there.
