GingerK! I purchased these strips from a "reputable" company and not only were the strips (all of them) cut this way but the strips were not 2 1/2 wide. The strips were "pinked", which I do not care for but they were 2 5/8" wide. Lesson learned, "Always measure your pre cuts before sewing them into a precision pattern. Not measuring my strips has caused me problems with my quilt pattern. The HST did not fit properly. Had to make them larger (no problem), however, when I tried to put my blocks together the HST did not fit against the square. It extends farther away. So I have decided to make bias tape and sew it as shown in the second photo.

What a great idea, thank you!

I think I have you mixed up with someone else. Did you post last week about the binding tool? Now that I've ordered the tool I don't have the pattern!

I ordered the pattern too. MSQ has it for $4.95.

    Beautiful result.

I agree that wet/damp blocking is one the best techniques in quilting, knitting, and embroidery. It produces a crisp, perfectly finished look.

SusieQOH! This is a Missouri Star Quilt Company design and if you go to there website there is a video showing how to make this quilt and also gives you a list of what materials you will need. If that doesn't work, please PM me and I will help you find the video. Yolanda
