Saw this one done and for interest the quilter used red denim jeans blocks all around the edge. Kind of looked like a red border. I though it was great.
Congrats on the weightr loss.

CONGRATS! on losing your weight. About eight years or so ago, I made my son a jeans quilt in the pineapple pattern, using blue bandana fabric for the corner triangles. I used alight weight blue chambray for the backing no batting, because of the weight of the denim, it turned out great, it is heavy though and would be good for cold weather areas. My daughter wanted a denim quilt too, so I made her one using the jellyroll race quilt pattern. A fried and I helped a young lady make a denim rag quilt for her step father.

Congratulations on your weight loss. Getting rid of those old jeans is a great idea. I made a tied denim quilt (lighter weight denim on the back with no batting) for our oldest son when he went to college. The second son inherited it LOL and finally used it in the back of the car for padding when the dog traveled with them. They wear like iron and wash beautifully.

Hey I was wondering if anyone had a fun pattern or suggestion on a Levi quilt. After losing 90 lbs I have a lot of jeans and I think that would be a good use for them. I have done just a 6 inch square before but I'd really like to have something a little different. Maybe even adding other fabric to it or something. HELP....
