Perhaps it's happening because it's over another quilt, and thus slippery. My sister had that problem and fixed it with a flannel sheet between the quilts.

Well, the best thing that I have found to keep a "traveling quilt" in place is a 15 pound cat on top of the quilt that sleeps between us up near our pillows.

Try turning it upside down--bottom to top that is--and see if it still 'travels. I had a light blanket that did the same and I finally realized it was the nap of the weave. Oh and yes, I have to agree that a 15 pound cat helps immensely. So does having your cover stealing DH go on a business trip!!

I take mine off the bed and put it on a chair that way it extra weight isn't on our feet, and I don't trip on it during the middle of the night trips to the bathroom.

i have one that does the same thing....sort of --- it "walks" off the bottom of the bed....every morning it is at least a foot or more over the end of the bed....and that is WITH about 40 pounds of cat on it....in 3 different cats that is. Only 1 of the quilts does this and i have no idea why.

LOL ~ I thought you were going to say your cat crawled under it and it was moving. Our cat does that quite often. I made a tree skirt for DD for Christmas, and her cats would get under it, and it would start moving.

Sorry, can't help more than the others with your problem.
