That quilt is beautiful! When I machine quilted my first quilt it didn't come nearly as good as yours and my daughter in law loved it so much it is now hanging in the baby's room. Like you said, your aunt is elderly and ill. Don't take her criticism to heart.

I don't see any flaws. It's beautiful! Maybe your aunt was trying to teach you things that she can no longer do but don't let that discourage you. You should have seen my first quilt! I used 5/8 in seams and a cotton/poly blend fabric......the shame....... My daughter loved it when she was 2 and still has the quilt (she's 39 now). Your son will treasure it.

Very pretty quilt and great quilting. You son will love it. Your poor Aunt sounds very unhappy, it is very hard getting older and not being able to do what you did for years. Give her a hug and kiss and tell her you love her next time and you know how rough it is. Getting old is NOT for the weak.

Wonderful quilt. I love your choice of blocks and the colors.
