I leave in the morning for my very first quilting retreat in Dillard, Georgia....The retreat is being held at The Dillard House and is sponsored by Deb's Cats N' Quilts, Franklin, TN....We get to stay at the Dillard House Bed N Breakfast, eat the wonderful home cooking of the Dillard House, we'll sew in the convention center, plus, Deb's has some really fun stuff planned out....I am soooooo excited...We're leaving at 730 in the morning, and it's about a 7 hour drive from where I live (Gainesville, Fl area)....I think I've packed every quilting item I own in hopes I haven't forgotten anything, but I figure if I have, gives me an excuse to go shopping at Deb's.....

Anyone else might be heading that way???

Can you stop by and get me? Sounds like fun. The only retreat I've ever done was in Hiawasii, GA with Lynette Jensen. It was a lot of fun. She told funny stories on herself. Signed our quilts and books.

Sounds like lots of fun!! I've never been to a retreat, either. Every time I look at the cost, I think to myself, I could be spending this money on fabric!! I'd get a lot more done if I went to a retreat - I just can't seem to stay at the sewing machine if I sew at home...there's always too much else to get done. Have loads of fun!!!
