I am one of those members who is also in and out of contact here ... sometimes life just gets too busy to keep up with the hobby. Anyway, glad to hear from you. I look forward to seeing your pictures! ;-)

You remind me of what I heard when I was much younger: Make friends before you need the. By going to introducotry courses at your LQS you will meet other quilters and be exposed to other quilting opportunities: guild meetings; quilting groups; quilting classes, demos, and events. The great thing about quilting is there is always more to learnand have fun with.
