    cool, get a glass jar and put the old things in to display so you can use the cool sewing box

    WOW - what a 'find'!
    I'd put the oldies in a glass jar on display in my sewing room - fun just to see them. Certainly DO use the sewing box for your current things - shame for it to be only for looks - meant to be used & loved.

    That's so beautiful and looks to be in excellent condition. The newer sewing boxes are just not the same as the old ones!

    I've been searching for years for an old plastic sewing box with the trays in it. Like mom had.

    as a side note, had a moving sale and hubby put out the box I did have with tons of good stuff in it, sold for $5.00

    Even the pinking shears in there were worth much more than that!

    That is really neat! I have found that old packages of needles are usually really good quality. Nicer to sew with than newer ones.
