I have the glueless tape, it clings by friction, and I use it for a lot of things. Great stuff. I try to keep a roll in my sewing box at all times.

Hi, have you seen this ongoing thread?

Household items turned quilting notions? It goes well with yours. The dumbbell idea is a great one. I never thought of putting a weight on.

I use the rubbery shelf liner from Walmart. Just cut a little piece and put it under your ruler. Sometimes it sticks to the ruler for several cuts and sometimes you need to reposition it when you move the ruler, but there is NO SLIDING!!!! And it's cheap.

Love the idea of using weights. The tool I use to cut straight is the husband tool. He's very handy... moves when I tell him, doesn't get scratched up. I do need to feed him though.......

They should have them at WM or HF or any auto supply store. The ones that I am refering to ,you will have to cut them out of a sheet of this.

Great Bella Boo, That is going to keep us from all the cutting. Thanks. I'm on my way now...

I have found that the little clear plastic slightly rubbery dots work much better than the sandpaper ones. My LQS carried a brand made for quilters at $3.95 (16 dots) and the dollar store had the same thing but more dots for $1. I also love the OLippfa rulers because of the edge and I noticed that there are some new Omnigrid rulers just out that have the lip too. It really makes a difference when trying to minimize slipping. Standing to cut and having your table at the right height also helps your cutting.
