    I like your red and white Hunter's Star quilt. I would use a red border of proportional size and bind in red. I think adding a white inner border would distort the symmetry of the outer portion of the block. However, I do like this pattern without borders which makes a more contemporary look. As others, I will be interested to find out your choice.

    You could make the top and bottom border a different width from the sides and that would help to make it square.

    I would go with a narrow white border and wider red border. Your quilt is beautiful and your sister is going to love it.

    I added a small inner border and a 4 inch outside border. I used Kim Dehil fabrics so ir was easy to find borders. I can't post a picture from my iPad or I would show you.[ATTACH=CONFIG]552105[/ATTACH]

    Thank you! I think I am going to break out my crayons and play around with borders to see which I like best.
