So in the past 5 days have been pretty busy with adding to my collections.

We tried for three weekends in a row to have a yard sale so we finally just renteda space at the monthly flea market at the Fairgrounds. MUCH drier and lots more customers. Unfortuantely, we didn't sell as much as we wanted but we did pay for the booth rental and our purchases :-P :-P :-P

So at the end of the day I was able to get the chair and the green quilt for $60. He threw in the 'trash' piece because if I didn't take it, he was going to put it into the dumpster when he cleaned up. He didn't notice that it was torn until that morning.

So I feel really good about my newest babies. The quilts have all been washed and the wedding ring will be mended by the end of the day. I am one happy girl.

This newly recovered chair was for sale three booths down from us at the flea market. I talked him about a price before we opened and he wanted $75. By the end of the day, he let me have it for $60.

Unfortunately my youngest cat has decided that the skirt makes it a wonderful hiding place for ambushes.

The guy that had the chair also had this whole cloth quilt. At the beginning of the day, he wanted $15 for it.

A closer look at the quilting.

He was using this 'scrap' to wrap up pieces of brass that he was selling.

He said that it was 'trash' because it was destroyed.

I found this in another building at the sale and I got it for $3.

Wrapping brass with it....oh that's almost a sacrilege! LOL Lucky you!
