Good for you! I had a 70's Kenmore that I sewed clothes for my three kids on back in the day as well as things for the home. I wish I hadn't given it away when I bought my Janome.

Okay, now I am having second thoughts about giving my old machine away when I get it repaired. Actually my husband also said I should just loan it to my daughter and not give it to her. He doesn't feel she will appreciate or care for a free machine and will probably just toss it out if it gives her any problem. He's right. I love her dearly but she is one to throw things away. She tossed one of my knives in the trash yesterday. It was a grapefruit knife with a curved blade and she thought it was just bent, didn't bother to ask, just tossed it out. Husbands's definitely a keeper!
