Very True Jan and with the body being 92 may just need a single color strip to finish it off, and keep the other finished for another project, bonus 2 in 1, Guess it depends on the finished size and looking towards and what menthod using to finish it off. If LA may want to see what capacity are able to do up to.
Very Beautiful tho and not sweat the pattern thing, doing Great for a first project, or any level for that matter:)

Oh cool! Just a big thumbs-up to you for making your own design. I love doing that, too, and yes it can be a longer journey. But it leads to such great discoveries doesn't it!! And it's such fun.
Sooo... I hope you'll keep trusting your creative spirit!!!

I would do a block in the center that will make the boarders fit right. that way it will look "cool" and like you meant to do it that way. hehe. do that you extent the sashing into the boarders. maybe on only two corners. that would look cool. I would also sew the boarders together into two sections. then line up the corners and see how much space you have left to fill and then go from there. just my thoughts.

I would add another border to make up for the space you need to fill. or remove a border to do the same thing. so in other words if your blocks total come up to 64 plus half inch allowance you need to add a border to come out to the amount you need. Did I make sense?
