Wow... that is handy! You never see those... I remember them from high school chemistry class, tho.

What a great way to repurpose that table! I use a kitchen counter from Ikea for my cutting table. It is the perfect height for me. Enjoy your new cutting table. Do you have room to pull the table away for the wall with the window on it. I have enough room to walk around my table on 3 sides. That helps to keep me from having to turn the fabric and I seem to get better cuts. It is just a thought! Luann

What a great way to re-use a portion of furniture that could have been a waste of space. The sink is a great place to store those things. Good find.

I want to go to your Goodwill. I never find deals like this at mine!

Very cool! It's as good as the two room dividers (4 x 4 cubicle set ups) that I found at Opportunity Village (a local charity thrift shop) and use to hold my quilting books and other things. Pricewise, yours is a better deal.

    Enjoy it!

Thanks everyone, I normally do not get this lucky finding something I know I can use.

I wish I could say this is my sewing room, but its not. This is a corner in my living room, the heart of our home. My sewing table is behind my favorite chair facing the TV so I can watch In Session while sewing.

I love to see how people recycle for their quilting. When you think about it....that's how quilting started....as a way to recycle small costly fabric pieces.

...andif it is as heavy as mine, your hubby is a keeper!
If it's stone, it's probably soapstone. Very heavy, and very durable!
