    That is a beautiful block. Where did you find a pattern for a block that large? I love it.

    I would first add a section of pieced light and dark (maybe the red and cream) vertically to the bottom (like the stripes on a flag). Then I would add the borders that you choose. To get it to the size you choose.

    Maybe one pieced border and one solid, that way you can make them however big you wish

    This answer is precisely what I did to bring my quilt of valor up to desired size. Turned out really well.

    Another idea would be to make 3 more of the stars that size, each with different fabric but similar colors.
