Your newly organized sewing room looks GREAT ! I've been a sewer for years and have always had chaos....as I get older and have begun quilting I want to organize and create more ! I move to a new apt tomorrow (Sat, 10/1) and have decided that will be a new beginning for me and for my stash ! As I've been packing up for my move I keep getting distracted by my "stuff" and end up making new piles ! Now I'm just pulling stuff off shelves and putting in garbage bags to deal with when I move....it won't end !

Believe me, I totally know what you are going through. First the move from Oregon to Texas...once here we moved in with MIL for a few months then into a one bedroom for almost a year waiting for the 3 bedroom to be available...so another move. After we got settled in here, I was so excited to have my own space that I let things get way out of hand. It is so easy to get frustrated and just start putting here and there to get it all done. Thinking as soon as I am moved in things will be different. I wish you the best in your move and in organizing. It really is worth the effort in the end.

Thank you for all the wonderful comments! I am so looking forward to spending hours and hours quilting. I keep walking in, sitting down and just staring at everything. LOL. I do not want to disturb anything just yet.

I've a native Georgian, however, last year I had a heart attack and a stroke and spent some time in MO with a daughter....stressful moving to a new area....then in Feb 2011 I moved back to GA to live on my own....my apt has had black mold and mildew and has flooded 3 times....luckily no damage to anything. Landlord has been just awesome and is moving me to a totally renovated apt, complete with new carpet, tile, stove, cabinets, etc, PLUS I have free rent for the month of November AND he is paying for someone to move me ! Even though moving is stressful and a pain in the neck, I've so fortunate to have such a great landlord who is willing to look after his tenants !

I keep thinking if I can ever settle down I'll be able to quilt in earnest...but then again, but I don't stay on line with the QB so dog=gone much I would have more quilting time !

Congratulations on your sewing room and I wish you great success !

I think it looks great! I know how hard (in my case apparently impossible) it is to get and keep your sewing space tidy & organized. Good job!
