    The sashing on my quilt is a purplish/pink batik and it needs to be cleaned. I attached a pic. What do you recommend?

    Use a shout color catcher or maybe a couple of them in cold water on the gentle cycle.

    did you make it? did you prewash the fabric?

    Amma is right. Use more than one color catcher.

    Yes I made it. My first quilt. I did not prewash fabric.

    Your quilt is truly beautiful. Both the colors and design are a great combination.

    As for washing it, go with what the "experts" have said. I am a newbie.

    You could also take a wet white washcloth and go over the purple to see how stable the color is.
    I don't know if I would trust a colorcatcher, have not had good luck with them.

    I concur with the cold water.
