    Hah! Would you believe after reading this, my husband and I happened to go shopping and I checked 3 stores for the clamp like you have - I found two styles that were so tight in the spring I couldn't open them with both hands (!) - and otherwise they were sold out of the ones like yours (unless I wanted 16 of them in one bag). I shall keep looking, I think you have a great idea there! :-)

    Peggy that's the best idea next to another set of hands I seen in long time. Quilter's are the most creative people I've even known. Give us a problem and we'll find a solution every time!

    I had this problem also, then my daughter gave me some of the rubbery shelf liner. I cut little squares and adhere to each corner of the ruler with doublesided tape. Works like a charm.
