Single edge razor blades. I bought a box of 100 at Harbor Freight and they were VERY inexpensive. Haven't gotten up the nerve to use them as a seam ripper but they scrape paint and gummy stuff off windows wonderfully.

It's been awhile since I'd seen them. But single edge blades they are. They can be found in all hardware stores. usually near the paint section. I remember using them to scrap the paint off the windows where Dad got too close while painting. I remember those days not too fondly I might add. LOL

they are the same blades that are used in a flat top stove for scraping off the stuck on food.

They are called single edge razor blades. You might be able to get some at Wal Mart. Most likely at the grocery store, or Dollar store or a drug store. You might check around the paint depts. they have the small hand held scrapers that hold these type of razor blades. Now they often come in a small plastic container so you can get one out at a time from one side of the little box and put the old one in the other side. They also come in singles pkgs.

I never thougth of these -- they are certainly less awkward than using the rotary cutter to rip.

We did the same in high school, and then, as a teacher, I did the same with mimeograph carbons . That was until the copy machines came into the schools.
