I use these hangers all the time.Never thought of removing the clips. Great idea. I usually use the ones with the metal swivel hooks (to hang over doors, over door frames, etc.) but now I'll take the ones with rigid plastic hooks to romove the clips. I love this board!

I think it's just wonderful that so many of our board members are clever and always willing to share! Great ideas... I had never thought of using the hanger clips but I own a women's clothing store and know where I can get as many as I need. LOL

I can see it now - the people at Walmart wondering what is going on because so many women are coming in asking for the hangers they are throwing away.

Great ideas that I never thought of. I do use the hangers to hand cutting mats, and a variety of other things but never though of taking the clips off.

I work for WalMart and we have people coming in all the time and asking for hangers. Not just the pants hangers but all kinds. Nothing unusual here

Great ideas especially the "3rd hand". I need one when I am ripping out seams.

We use the swivel hangers to hang quilts for our guild quilt show. No sleeves needed on the quilts using the hangers. We buy them new at Walmart so they will all be the same height when hung. No one had time to match the used hangers by height that were brought in by the box full. LOL

What a very talented husband you have, he's definitely a keeper. The third hand is amazing. Perhaps he might like to make them and sell them to a quilt shop, quilt group, craft fair, etc. it's a very unique and useful item to have for a quilter. I think I will be more vigilant when shopping and bring home some freebie "Wonder Clips". Thanks for sharing.
