    people just do not know how much this type of find is worth. I look for had made afghans and last year found two full sized ones for $1.50 each. Needless to say I grabbed them...smile

    Wow! That's lovely and what a treasure to find for five bucks! The person selling it probably didn't have a clue to what it is worth...congratulations!

    I try to give my quilts to people that will love them. I have my doll quilt Gram make me in a saftey deposit box. I can't imagine not loving a quilt.
    Doesn't that break your heart to think her family didn't want it. It is so nice. Glad you got it - at least you will cherish her work.

    Lovely quilt! Two yrs. ago, I bought a fan quilt, all hand-quilted at a garage sale for $8.00. I could hardly believe my good fortune. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.
