I always loved silver/white hair. Had a young teacher in high school who had beautiful white hair. Mine is salt and pepper and I guess it isn't going to do much else. Always notice people with white hair in stores and think how nice it looks.

I have had snow white hair since I was about 40. It started turning when I was in my late 20s. The only time I change color was when I portrayed the Wicked Witch in a production of the Wizard of Oz. I had long green hair for 2 weeks! I decided early that I would rather spend my money on fabric than hair color!

I decided to deal with "the crisis" after my son was born, my hair had darkened to an ugly brown, my blond highlights were gone and I finally gave in to my hairdresser to color my hair. I had let my hair grow long, so she cut it (didn't want to dye my full head of hair - which is no longer the case), then colored it. When my husband arrived home, he noticed that I had gotten my hair cut, but not that I had become a blonde, Men, go figure.

The all over same color of dyed hair looks so dyed! A super stylist showed me how to have natural looking dyed hair. If going darker, choose an ash shade of the color you want. Forget dark brown to black hair color, it never turns out natural. Streak the color on your hair and with a plastic brush, brush the color through your hair. Never saturate your hair with the dye like shampoo. Your hair should have many different shades of your hair color to look natural. It's easy to do and you don't need much color. In fact you'll throw away more then half the bottle if your hair is short. Don't be tempted to use it all just because you bought it.

I don't want the fuss and expense of continually dyeing, so I'm letting the 'sparkles' come in! Some of my friends who dye would prefer that I dye as well, but I'm sorry, they're not fooling anyone! I don't think silver/white/grey looks old, I think it looks stunning!

I earned every one of my gray hairs and I am going to show them proudly. I am however amazed that it isn't all white by now.

me too, i started getting gray at 14. My son is in his 40's now and has some gray. I got the early gray from my Father. He was totally gray in his 30's, before I was even born. now, my sister takes after our Mother!
