Oldies but goodies must know all about this fun activity. But it was new to me, so perhaps it will be new to you. Our Quilting Bee has exchanged fat quarters and we are each making a block for each other. Different fabric, styles, sizes... and personalities! I've enjoyed these challenges & can't wait until we exchange the work we made for each other.

My quilting group does that for birthdays. The birthday person has to had everyone a fabric...then the next meeting she gets different blocks from everyone using that focus fabric.FUN!!

When our guild did the birthday block exchange, we were divided into groups of 12. When you got your block, it wasn't necessarily "your month" but it was fun anyway.
