    Default Mystery Quilt Questions

A local quilt store is offering a 6 month long mystery quilt "program". I've gotten the fabric that's needed am excited to get started. Question is, how does this work. I know I get clues (beginning tomorrow), but beyond that I'm clueless. Each month do I get a new clue? Will I not know what it's going to look like until it's done, even after I do the piecing? I love surprises....but not sure I like mysteries

Usually, each month you will get directions for a new block to make. And no, you won't know until the end what it will look like.

If you got all of the fabric at one time, be sure to cut exactly as each monthly pattern says to be certain you have enough fabric for the whole quilt. Some quilt shops try to incorporate a different technique each month. You never know. That's the mystery.

Oh, go for it! You'll love it. I just completed one and didn't know until the last clue what it would look like. I love it! And, its a great way to learn new techniques.
