I hate it when there is no pocket on a dress, skirt, or pair of pants I want to wear somewhere. I would put a strap through the loop and use it for a pocket!

not sure the actual reason, but my mom use to make us some for our pencils, pens, rulers, etc and we clipped it to our back packs for easy accessability.

It looks like it's large enough for a "steno-sized" notepad... I would use it for carrying said notepad, along with a pen, for my Bible Study at church. The pen MIGHT be able to "hook" into the little tab on the side.

Or it could be a case for a Kindle or a tablet.

Is the little tab just that - a tab? and not a drawstring? it would be easy to use as a purse if the tab was a drawstring.

Just some more thoughts on possible uses for this.

Hi everyone, I was wrong...that is a little zipper on the front, as my friend informed me. I passed on all your ideas and she said she will find some use for it. Thanks to all of you and aren't you glad I asked. Now we all know about a huswif Thanks to Jan in Virginia. Thanks Jan!!!
