Okay, I went and found the quiz on the website at this URL: http://quilting.about.com/library/bl...block_quiz.htm

I didn't know most of the blocks, so I only got 14. I'll learn.

I got the Monkey Wrench one wrong because I thought it and Churn Dash were supposed to be the same block. Since it gave me a choice of either/or but not both, I picked the totally different choice. Oh well.

For someone that hasn't made many quilts and doesn't buy pattern books, that was a learning experience. Thanks for sharing.

I got 19 out of 30 of the quilt blocks ... not too bad, considering most of the blocks they were showing seemed to be ones with numerous names, or ones I would hardly glance at.
You know that one they called "Handy Andy"?
I am going to be making that block here in a bit, and I found it in a little perpetual calendar ... Nancy J. Martin
I will describe the block, because it most certainly does NOT look like the block they showed - - in each corner of the block, there are four HST, facing four different directions in each corner, but all four facing the same way in the separate corners.
The four corner blocks of 4-HST are separated by
well, it is like a bear paw, sort of ... so there is a center square, cornerstone type at 2 1/2" ... then the rectangle strips running between the four corners that are sized, 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" ... not a quarter square triangle in sight!
But, I love those tests, and I had a good time taking it <wave>
