    Can anybody name this block. It's not a popular one matter of fact I've only seen it in a quilt once and it was in a magazine a long time ago the magazine was Traditional Quiltworks issue 49. Good luck guessing....

    You guys are good it is king's crown Lynn G Kough the quilt was called The Superstitions. Or as I see in quiltercasche old king's crown.....there is one there called King's crown but it's not the same..... Thanks for playing thought it might be a hard one as I never see it in books but can't pull anything over on you guys.....She has a book called stretching traditions I looking for a copy (cheap) or trade something... fabric or books I have......Don't know if I can put a pic of her quilt here so maybe you can look it up and see it was beautiful....it was done in 10" & 15 blocks from Kings Crown...

    I found my "King's Crown" in the "Ladies Art Company Block Tool" book. It looks nothing like what's on QuiltersCache.

    Many patterns have same names but different patterns, and vice-versa! When I googled, I did find the King's Crown that looked like the Old King Cole on another site. I just posted the one link to QuiltersCache for consistency. I guess I should have posted both links for the controversy! :)



    To the Original Poster ... I did think it was odd that your original source did not give you the name. Perhaps another time tell others it's a guessing game, rather than making it appear you do not know and want to know.
