    i have done this technique several times. It is scary at first, but is easier each time. Anita Hallock's 'Fast Patch' was the first place I saw it. You do lose some of the points (corners) on the outside, but almost no-one notices.

    Gale - while I agree that this pattern looks cool, don't be scared to a try a quilt set on point. I'm just doing my first on point (lap) quilt and I thought it would be hard but it was fine. Just like everything else we do, take one step at a time and you'll be fine.

    If you can cut a square you can cut a triangle, right? And of you can piece a block you can sew a triangle to a square. And that's pretty much all there is to it :-)
