My favorites are "And Sew Bee It" in Kearney, MO and "The Wooden Spool" in Excelsior Springs, MO. Great little shops. Good fabric and nice people

I go to "A Common Thread" in Tualatin, OR. It's about a 1/2 hour drive. My favorite though is "Fabric Depot" in Portland. It's HUGE! Over an acre in size. Amazing selection. It's a 45 minute drive, but well worth the trip.

It's been fun reading some of the creative names of quilt shops others have listed. Portland has a knitting shop that's name always makes me laugh - "The Naked Sheep".

Where do you all frequent?
I live in Elk River, and won't go back to Cottage Quilts, because of bad service from (I think) the owner. But there's a great shop just up 169 by Aldi called The Noble Quilter that is the only shop I'll go to now. It's small, but they're so kind and helpful!

Granny Quilts, here in Cedar City Ut.-love the owner-always willing to answer all my silly questions...while she was having her annual clearance sale she held my fabric purchase for me until pd day...hows that for customer service. There is something to be said about living in a small town and shopping locally.

oppps also wanted to add if the owner and her staff weren't the friendly people that they are I would not shop there. We have a vac/sew repair shop here, the only one and I won't shop there-the next closest fabric/sew/vac stores are a 80 mile rd trip but I usually hit those stores either on my way to or from las vegas as my DD & GD live there so I just plan my fabric trips. I refuse to give my hard earn mola to someone who is rude or unhelpful. You want my money you will treat me w/ respect...thank-you very much.
