On one of her segments she talked about her Bells Palsy when they were discussing charity quilts. I think she is a very courageous women. Love her shows.

I think it's called Hall's Palsy...My cousin suffered from it as well.

If you want to meet her, she co-sponsers Wisconsin Quilt Expo every year in Madison, WI, usually the second week or so in September. She spends time on the floor in her (huge) Nancy's Notions booth and is always surrounded by groupies! She also teaches a session or two.

Attending several of her seminars she indicated that as a baby she had an ear infection which damaged a nerve causing her to have Bell's Palsy. Only 6% of people don't recover from this and she is one of those unfortunate 6%.

I always wondered also what had happened to her. When a BIL got Bell's Palsy some years ago I had a feeling that's what had happened to her also. You have to give her a lot of credit to have overcome any problem to have the success she's had with her "sewing" career! I love her show and have learned a lot over the years.
