Hello Everyone,

I would like to know if anyone has a pattern for making a necktie quilt? I have several of my father's ties and I would like to make a quilt out of them for myself, my other and my sister.

There is actually at least one book on making quilts out of neckties. There are lots of ways to do it. I did one that looked like a folded man's shirt with a necktie. Used shirting for the shirt portion. It was darling.Also foundation pieced one & it turned out beautiful. There are lots of possibilities, but there is also a lot of prep work before you can get started. Taking them apart, washing, ironing & some also need a stabalizer. I have hundreds in my stash & about that many ideas for their second life as a quilt. Happy quilting & do share what you decide to do with yours.
