Necktie Quilt
I have been commissioned to make a necktie quilt in the log cabin pattern. I have washed, ironed and starched all the ties (175). What should I use to stabilize these ties as they are all cut on the bias??

a lightweight woven (or non-woven) stabilizer works well- I've used a fusible non-woven stabilizer from joannes on silk ties which worked well- some people on here often use the woven ones...I don't know that it really matters- the non-woven is like a very lightweight fabric (a lot like a dryer sheet- a little more substance to it) a woven feels a bit more like a paper a little more stiffness to it. either one will work to stabilize your ties.

I haven't tried it yet but, on the advice of a QB member who works with neckties, I am going to try this product:
