Oh my goodness - your quilt, and the colors you chose for it, are stunning. I'm not an experienced quilter, but I think it's perfect just the way it is - nothing else is needed. However, as others have mentioned, it is your handiwork and you have the final say in the matter, so make yourself happy. Only wish I could emulate it, or, if you decide you don't want it, I will give it a good home!

Absolutely gorgeous center star!!!! The border fabric is very pretty, but if it were me, no I wouldn't use them together. IMHO they clash in my world. However, that being said it is only what appeals to you that really matters. Close your eyes, visualize it- go forth and sew!

Wow! You have lots of varying opinions. I agree with not using that border. IMHO it doesn't fit with the center, which is beautiful! Great for a first paperpiecing. I would say no border or piano keys border in the left over pieces from the center.

I agree the border and the pieced quilt are both beautiful and with the same colors, but they do not go together.

Nope, sorry, I don't like this border. The flowers just doesn't do the star justice. They do match in color, but for me not in eye. Solid light border would be my choice. Someone on this board stated to stand back and squint your eyes. I never tried it, but that might help to make up your mind. Put a different border on opposite sides and step back to see what appeals most to you.

I would leave it without the extra border. It looks stunning with the small yellow (?) strip around it. It's perfect, thank you for sharing.
