I was saving to buy a new machine. I wanted a mid arm.
Last night a group of us went out to dinner and stopped by a casino. I put $20 in and hit a jackpot... $2000.00!
I thought I was saving for a Janome 6500. I have been up most of the night researching. I don't know what to do.
I use a Brother SQ9000. It is fine but I would like to have a better machine. Then I look at the frame/machine combos and want that, too. What would you do?

Which do you think you would use more?

I would stick with my original plan that I had already budgeted for and save the jackpot. I know it isn't much fun, but that's me. ;p

I don't know. I do know I hate basting. So, having a no baste frame would be nice. I am thinking I could by a reg. arm machine and the Janome 1600 and frame and still stay in my budget.

Congratulations on your Jackpot. I actually work at a Casino. I am the Hotel Director at our local Casino. So I know well that winning a Jackpot is exciting. I have a Bernina QE440 and love it. I bought it without the the embroidery module so that kept the price down. It has a stitch regulator that I just love. I just bought a long arm in December so I will probably not use that stitch regulator much now but I sure loved it for free motioning my quilts I had to do. I would highly recommend it. My sister in law has a babylock that she is also able to free motion quilt on and really likes her machine, too. My local Babylock dealer sometimes runs some awesome sales on the Babylock machines. Good Luck with your decision. You are so lucky.

I am off to the nearest Janome Dealer. It is an hour and 1/2 away. I am going to purchase what feels right. The best I can get for my money. ;) I can always add a frame later or wait on that long arm. Wish me luck.

Ask about their floor models. I saved about 2,000 buying one and they have worked the kinks out of the machine!
