Need advice with my incomplete Amish style quilt...
#11
Thanks everybody. I will tie it for sure. When it is all finished I'll photograph it, most definitely. I am anxious to do some table cloths and other housey items, for which I enjoy stitching a layer of quilting just for looks, but then on to bed quilt #2.
I am guilty of plageurism... the avatar image is something I just searched on the internet "amish quilt picture". I guess I will change the avatar image, because that's not really cool.
By the way, this place is amazing, I am *so* happy I signed up.

I handquilt everything (except potholders.) Tying quilts holds up for awhile. If you want to just get it out of the UFO pile - go ahead and tie it. But it would be a shame in my mind. Those hours of hand stitching are good for the soul and you'll remember to choose your batting more carefully next time! I sold a table runner today - beautiful thing - but the batting was so thick!.. I wanted to make it a hotpad/runner thing. It is but I kicked myself around the block for the work that it took to quilt it.
