    I'll bet spray basting would take care of that entirely.

    Thanks for all of the replies, this board is fabulous and wealth of information! Remember the photo of the backing on my plywood board? I finally got frustrated and took the quilt to a longarm lady........she did a fabulous job. There are butterflies in fabric, so I had her put a butterfly design in the stitching. It turned out great! This quilt is for my great neice.

    The quilt is gorgeous! I can't afford to pay for long arm quilting... I probably shouldn't even buy the fabric that I buy But the quilting is gorgeous
